Advised Cities Service Company and its subsidiaries on antitrust, franchise and trademark issues relating to the marketing of gasoline throughout the world. Rendered general corporate legal advice to Cities Service Company and its subsidiaries.

General Attorney, 1978 to 1979

Rendered legal advice regarding antitrust issues and franchise marketing agreements including those promulgated under the Petroleum Marketing Practices Act. Drafted contracts relating to refineries. Handled all facets of conveyance and acquisition of real property and transactions relating to oil pipelines, including recommendation of interstate and intrastate tariffs and dividends, payable from Cities Service Pipeline Company to the parent oil company.

Represented Cities Service Pipeline Company before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission regarding oil pipeline divestitures from oil companies and before the Louisiana Public Service Commission regarding approval of tariffs.

Handled all facets of Admiralty Law relating to Cities Service business activities.

Negotiated and drafted charter party and ship husbandry agreements, and stock transfer agreements in the acquisition of thirteen oil tankers. Merged Liberian maritime corporation into a U.S. maritime corporation. Transferred flag of Liberian flag ships to Panamanian flags. Involved in conveyance of ships in sales and demise charter party with option to buy. Directed and participated in litigation with respect to grounding of ships. Responsible for maritime arbitrations.

Served on the Board of Directors of Cities Service pipeline Company, a subsidiary of Cities Service Company.

Attorney for Chemicals Group, 1976 to 1978

Coordinated the safety, energy and environmental affairs for Chemical Group of Cities Service Company. Responsible for compliance with the Federal Energy Administration Act of 1974, PL92-500; Toxic Substances Control Act, PL94-469; Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970; Federal Water Pollution Control Act amendments of 1972, PL94-580; Clean Air Act; Resources Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976, PL92-516; and all additional laws related to the environment safety and energy. Patent Attorney, 1972 to 1976

Participated in litigation relating to December 5, 1970, explosion at the Exxon Refinery in Linden, New Jersey.

As licensing attorney, negotiated agreements in buying and selling chemical and petroleum oriented technology.

As patent attorney, serviced Research and Development Department. Drafted and prosecuted domestic and foreign patent applications relating to Refinery, Chemical, Petroleum, Electrical and Mechanical Arts areas. Responsibilities also included infringement studies, interferences and patent law litigation.

Petroleum Engineer

Engaged in all engineering duties related to the servicing of the oil and chemical industry including offshore platforms and chemical plant activities.

Served as Operation Engineer in oil fields. Duties included installing equipment and operating oil leases.

Participated in reservoir engineering, including calculating secondary recovery problems (waterflooding, immersible gas drive, depletions drive reservoir, etc.)

Economic Planning Staff Member

Drafted and computerized (COBOL and FORTRAN) cash flow, discount, and other related programs for contract lease operations and equipment rental. Evaluated all investments to obtain favorable return.
